The Way You Look Tonight

When my third child was born, I stumbled upon this little song.  It won best original song at the Academy Awards in 1936.  It is a love song...but I thought it made a perfect lullaby. There are numerous covers of this song on Youtube.  One of the most famous is sung by Frank Sinatra...also, Michael Buble sang a cover.
To me, it summed up all that I wanted to say to my newborn little girl. Singing this song to her, helped me through many a sleepless night.

The Way You Look Tonight
Someday when I awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel aglow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight

You're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me, but to love you
Just the way you look tonight

  1. I think everyone must love this song....
I enjoyed hearing your video, and I enjoyed hearing you sing it in Montreal, remember?

I also like to hear Andy Williams sing this. He may have sang it to his children too, and probably his grandchildren.
